We're thrilled to announce that The Southeast Project is partnering with Curious Faith Media and The Bible for Normal People to bring an innovative, question-friendly approach to our Sunday mornings at Southeast!
What Makes This Special?
At the heart of our new curriculum is "God's Stories told by God's Children Bible" – a resource that invites kids into the biblical narrative with curiosity, wonder, and authenticity. This isn't your typical Sunday school program.
Curious Faith Media provides us with compassionate, inclusive, and curiosity-filled content for adults and kids to grow together in their faith, featuring over 400 prompts, activities, and grown-up tips that encourage families to explore faith together.
The Bible for Normal People, led by scholars Pete Enns and Jared Byas, brings the best in biblical scholarship to everyday people. Their approach aligns perfectly with our belief that faith should be accessible, thoughtful, and real.
Why This Matters to Us
As a church community on a journey of exploring the way of Jesus, we believe kids deserve:
A safe space to ask the big questions
Stories that connect with their real lives
Faith formation that grows with them
The freedom to wonder and explore without fear
This curriculum reflects our commitment to being a different kind of church – one where all can belong without judgment, ask questions without fear, and explore the compassion, grace, and love of Jesus together.
For Our Families
Whether you're deconstructing, reconstructing, or simply wanting to nurture authentic faith in your children, this curriculum meets families where they are. It's designed for parents and kids to learn and grow together, fostering conversations that matter.
We're not just teaching kids about faith – we're walking alongside them as they discover their own relationship with God, questions and all.
Join us as we redefine what church can be for the next generation. Because when we learn to love God, love others, and bring life to our community, that's when faith becomes truly transformative.

Our Nursery, Preschool, and K-5th Grade environments take place during our Sunday gatherings. Our Nursery, open fifteen minutes prior to our Sunday gathering, is a delightful space for our littlest ones to explore and play in a safe and welcoming environment. Our Preschool and K-5th Grade environments, which take during the sermon portion of our worship service.
